1. Introduction

Manyu Labs ("we", "our", or "us") built CurBal as a free expense tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use CurBal.

2. Information We Collect

CurBal does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third party.

All data you enter or that is processed by the app is stored locally on your device only.

The following data is stored locally:

Your initial balance amount

Your preferred currency

Transaction records you add manually

3. Notification Access (UPI Auto-Logging)

CurBal optionally uses Android's Notification Listener Service to automatically detect UPI payment notifications from apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm.

This permission is entirely optional

It is used solely to read payment amounts from notifications for auto-logging expenses

Notification content is processed on-device only and is never sent to any server

You can revoke this permission at any time via Settings → Notifications → Notification Access

4. Permissions Used

BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE Read UPI payment notifications for auto-logging (optional)

No other permissions are requested.

5. Data Storage

All app data is stored locally in your device's internal storage using a private database. We have no access to this data. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your data with any third parties. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools in CurBal.

7. Children's Privacy

CurBal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
